Thanks guys for the compliments and votes!

I was surprised my old truck came out with the highest votes over the other trucks in this month’s feature truck poll.  All of the trucks VERY nice and had tasteful personal touches to each and every one of them.

Thanks again!

I can tell you right now why Larry's truck got my vote, other then it being a classic.

Best of all, I did all of the work myself with my own blood and sweat…

That right there sets it in a class all its own, and is the reason I want and old 4wd of my own to work.  Can always take more pride in something you built the something you bought.

you dropped the ball by not having seperate categories,  it's like pissing on the street guys  and their not good enough..

lifted and lowered is different   don't group us together.

LarryE,

You're right of course...  There's fewer lowered fans here than at FSC (I think), but if there were two categories, you would have easily won the lowered vote (IMO).  You've got a great ride and you've put a lot into it.  You should be proud.

I'm not griping because I didn't win,  I think it would just look bad since  the boys want more street guys over here and when they come all they see is a lifted guy getting his props for the month.

C'mon LarryE, look at the votes, I think you did pretty good.  Maybe next month Zane and Josh should break up the featured truck into a few different categories since Ryan's out of the running finally there's been much more interest.  We'll pit your truck agains Tom's "Who's got the shiniest red silverado?"

I'm gonna get flamed for this but....

When I first started noticing lowered trucks all I could think was "how stupid is that".  You buy a truck which has the major advantages over a car in that it has significantly better ground clearance and it can haul big things, then you lower it so that it can't even clear a speed bump and it can't haul anything.

Now after spending some time reading posts here and at FSC I've got a new understanding of "Street" trucks.  I didn't know that they could regulate the drop with bags, etc... and still adjust clearance and haul things when they need to (often even more than stock).  I didn't realize all of the effort that went into the incredible details on these trucks.  I've got a much different opinion of lowered trucks than I used to.  I have a lot of respect for what many people have put into their vehicles.  There's some bad apples on both sides of the fence but just looking at the pics of the mods you've done on your truck probably woke a few people up as to how dedicated you are in building your "street" truck.

Even if your truck doesn't appeal to someone as their ideal truck, I think you earn some respect for all that you've done and gradually people like me that didn't understand all that went into it, begin to understand.

None of this should take away from the other Larry.  For what he's done, he should be the winner.  It's unfortunate (and somewhat inaccurate) to think of anyone that didn't win as a "loser".

Like I said, just be proud of what you've done.  You should be.

IMO as always.

We're looking into having both sides represented at the same time LarryE.

There's only a handful of street members active here that I can think of off the top of my head. I don't think there's warrant for a second feat'd truck program just yet. But we'll see.

Have faith in us Larry! lol ;)
