Problem with Android Auto

Hi there,

Recently, I have my dealer update my truck with Android Auto, it works good as long as no one call me. When someone call me, it would kick me out of Android Auto. Android Auto would not restart until I unplug the USB cable and I force quit all my apps on my phone. This would only happen with phone call, but not text. I am currently using the USB port inside the armrest.

Anyone else have this problem?

Haven't had anyone call me yet but the text notifications don't work and neither does the long press on steering wheel tell Google to send a text. Samsung gs7 on Verizon

Android Auto is in need of a serious update. The display is horrid, especially when you compare it to the Apple Car Play which basically mirrors your phone screen.

I found that the voice recognition works better if I speak softly instead of talking to it as if it were my 89 yr old neighbor.

Sometimes I can't connect, I have to restart the app.

Guy...guys GUYS!!!! Android text users. Go to your bluetooth text set up and "TURN OFF" ENHANCED texting. try that and report back. Had probs on my 2016 HD diesel Denali, salesman apple could text to me BUT my wifes Samsung S7 edge wouldnt go thru (Sprint to my Samsung S7 edge Sprint) tried and dealer said ur prob, see apple works. I went home and sat for 1 hour and fixed it by turning OFF enhanced texting. ALSO IF you get a text while its PLUGED IN (hard wired to usb port) you have to touch the 8 inch radio display then respond via voice mode touch. Then speak! If you use steering wheel game over! Only push button canned responses.
