It would have to at least be the L86 6.2, so would have to be the Ecotec that's in the K2 trucks. Not sure how similar the Ecotecs are to the 6.2 that's int he Vette so it may be the same but it may not. The intake manifold would fit on the engine, but you'd have to get the 6.2 throttle body and the 6.2 air intake between the filter box and throttle body. The throttle body is a little bigger on the 6.2.

^^ The answer is yes you can fit the L86 intake and LT1 throttle body on an L83. You can also swap the LT1 6.2 camaro/vette intake manifolds on the L83 as well but it requires you to change a pulley and get a new belt as the lt1 intake manifolds are angled down vs being angled up. L86 and 6.2L lt1 are exact same motor as far as internals. only difference is the intake manifolds. Hope this helps.

So what all do you need for the LT1 6.2 manifold swap to work? Would you need a tune for it or would it be a bolt on and go?

Tune and a mod with the idler pulley and fabbing up a intake pipe.

Are you aware if an airaid MIT tube could work with it while keeping the stock air box?

I don't believe it's a custom fabricated deal. Haven't seen any issues with that yet. If you have a facebook go to the "Gen 5 Sierra/Silverado (2014+)" Facebook page and ask. A few people have done it.

Well the lt1 intake angles downward to clear the low vette hood. So I'd assume you wouldn't be able to adapt parts that go from truck airbox to corvette intake.

Yes but I believe just the airaid MIT can be used. Again that I'm not sure about as I haven't looking into the swap myself. Just looked into the l86 intake swap with the lt1 throttle body

Yeah l86 intake would be fine. The lt1 is considerably different height and angle though.

Yeah, lt1 would need a custom fabbed intake. That's too severe of an angle to try and make work with the air box. L86 intake it is for me then lol

I don't think there's a lot of power to be had with it

I only say that because I have an l86 and all I want is an lt1 or msd intake

The AFE intake will work with the LT1 or MSD manifold since you can swivel the tube on the box. I had to cut the end of mine off and use a new coupler but it worked fine other than that.
