Any suggestion on buying a diagnostic software that I can put on my laptop for my 2004 Chevy silverado 1500?

If you are looking for something "on your laptop," then HP Tuners is the way to go. Plenty of less expensive options in hand-held form, but that does not appear to be what you are looking for.

Any experience with the Bluetooth for iphones?

My 2004 silverado 5.3 gas had a mis at idle with no code about 3 weeks ago and I changed plugs and wires and that has gone but I think I'm feeling one at highway speed, I took it for a OBD and they didn't see anything so I'm wanting to try a scanner that I can plug in and drive it to see if it is something in the truck or the driver.

5.3 not a flex with 189K miles and I do have to replace valve guide seals in it.
