I believe what some have done is just buy the correct switch and install that in the armrest, then wire in the power. You wouldn't have the functionality of the stock system where you can operate the fold from the key fob. 1st world problems right there, lol

My guess is if you want power fold you could get it. It's nice, hold the fob down when locking and the mirrors fold in, they fold out when you hold the unlock button. There is also the arm rest button. My theory is if they make folding mirrors, and they do, you can get them.

I found the part # for the chrome ones 23372181. GMC has them for sale their website. You cam find them cheaper on other websites.

Good info, with so many mirror threads it was getting a little confusing. That sheet was exactly what i need. My dealer didn't know anything about that document, when i asked about the mirrors, all he did was pulled out a accessory book, and said yes, we can do it, $1400. But he could not say what functions would work...LOL

 

I'll just do them myself. But i really hope someone chimes in on how to get the folding function to work on trucks that didnt come with it, even if only controlled by a new door switch

Okay, I was told that my 2016 will not fold from the key fob by my sales rep. I have a 2016 2500 LTZ. I was thinking that it would do that because I have heard that it did for the 2015s with the folding mirrors. I did look on my options but couldn't find where I could turn that option on, so figured that he was right and I was wrong. If it can do it, I would love to turn that option on. And then go to my sales rep and show him how to make it work.

If you do indeed have power fold mirrors right now, they will fold from the key for. Go to menue on your touch screen. These are screen shots from your manual, dig it out and read it... trust me... it's in there how to turn on the function.

hi, yes they are the same. the part numbers above are for manual fold tow mirrors. I added power fold to my 17 Denali and love it. cargo lights come on and off with the FOB but I didnt know about the power fold with the FOB, will have to check that out!
