Stabilitrack issues

Well long story short GM is giving me the run around. Telling me the dealership has to have it happen with them. Even though a dealer stood there and saw the whole thing. But still I can understand that. So basically they would have to keep it till it replicates and GM won't foot the bill for me to have a loaner. Even though it is a known issue. I know all vehicles have issues but at this point I am done with GM and will go looks for a F-150. It's really a shame I supported this company and unless GM does something to help me soon I am done. It's not like I am asking for a handout I just want my truck fixed. That's all I want.

Take a peek at the endish of the video... I cought mine doing it when i backed up yesterday...

Excuse the profanity it snapped out of my hand. That's what it did when turning at an intersection and almost went straight into a brand new Z06

Reminds me of my c5 'vette...steering would lock up while driving. Some security measure to lock the wheel if broken into. Well, it happened once to me while driving down the road. Sucked big time. Car starts turning on its own. I feel for you guys and hope they figure that one out. Very dangerous issue.

Sweet Loaner!!

What changed your dealers mind to get you in so fast?? If they say they cant replicate it, since you can get it to act up almost on demand offer to take the tech on a drive to have it done...or explain to them how to get it to act up. I promise you if the tech can get it to act up they will crap their pants.

A call to GM is all it took.... Plus this dealer has always treated me well. I get my oil changes done their and pay for washed so they have gotten a lot of my business already.

I showed the tech already and he can almost do it on demand, so they will have it for a while. I dont mind keeping this loaner for a bit haha

Good glad to hear you were able to get this scheduled right away and get into a loaner!! That is why I recommend to anyone who is having this issue and getting the dealers to do anything about it to call the Executive Office and they get the ball rolling for you.

Keep us updated!!

Update time,

So the condenser had a hole in it so thats getting replaced.

As far as all my electrical issues.... They are replacing the other battery cable.

Last time it was at the dealer they replaced the negative cable now it's the positive one supposedly showing too much resistance.

Not sure how i feel about driving it again after all this but we will see. Have a 2016 black all terrain already in talks with the neighboring GMC dealership but not too comfortable on the price.

Hmmm that is interesting... I wonder what they will find with that. They replaced both battery cables on my truck and it still acted up with the dealer. He then replaced the fuse block which "fixed" the problem for the 3 weeks i had it before I traded it in. In the meantime ask the GM rep to have the aftersales district manage give you a call....that is where you will get an offer of upto 10% of your MSRP off any new GM Vehicle. They nice thing about that is it can be stacked with any other discounts. So if you find a truck that is 16% you can add the GM offer on top of that. I ended up getting all but 15K off my new truck.

Thanks for the update!!

I habe no idea what it will fix but supposedly it's good to go. I will try it out and see if i can replicate the lockup since i got pretty good at it before it went to the dealership.

Thanks for that bit of info... Communicated that to the GM rep so we will see what comes of it. I got about 9k off the sierra already so an extra 10% would be awesome.

Dont suppose anyone is local and wants my headers, exhaust, tonneau, intake manifold, leveling kit and 33s??

Going to suck letting all that go with the truck

I would have kept mine but i was able to replicate the problem. Not as often as i used to but i got the rpms to drop and the truck to studder, that was enough for me. I was also working on a 2016 F150 FX4 ecoboost but the sierra came out to a better deal.... Got 20k for the white one according to KBB that was what i could expect.

Sad that i let all the goodies go but i can start over. Im so happy.... Ive wanted a black all terrain since they first came out in late 2013. And when the 16 change i had to have one. Guess it was just meant to be.
