8 speed for 2017

Seems strange that can't get the 8 spd in double cab with the All terrain package or the premium plus package, yet you can for a crew. Are they trying to phase the double cab out and make only crew cabs?

I'd bet there are still production capacity issues with the 8L90.

Yet they seem to be foot in mouthing themselves as it shows in the "Mechanical" section, double cab with 6.2 only...

They use a different (lower capability) 8 speed - the M5T which is an 8L45.

 

The 1500 series use the 8L90 which is the M5U.
