2016 Sierra Premium Plus Seat Question

I just noticed today, while cleaning the interior, that the flat surface, the perforated part where your butt ends up when you sit in the truck is rippled and wavy (already). This is the driver's side.

My truck has just under 5000 mi on it.

It's subtle, put when you let the light reflect off of the seat, though subtle, it's actually pretty significant.

My wife is in the truck almost as much as I am, and there is no sign of this on the passenger seat.

I know there are several seat/leather threads here, but... wtf?

Can't wait to see what these seats look like at 30,000, much less 50,000 miles.

Guess i'll have to bring this up when I go in for the next service/recall visit.

Anyone else have this issue?

Perforated leather tends to stretch quicker than non perforated. My Denali, my wife's Range Rover, my V12 vantage, and my previous Denali 2500. The non perforated leather seat vehicles that I previously owned all took an average of 10 to 12k before I started seeing ripples. Alcantara seats on the other hand don't seem to ever ripple at all. Maybe GM will offer alcantara as an option one day.

I have a tad over 10k on my truck and have not noticed rippling, I will look closer tonight... either way not significant enough for me to worry about it.

I have 22k and the driver seat has a little bit of rippling at the back right where my wallet presses down but otherwise none. Do you condition your leather? Mine gets conditioner every 2 weeks or so.

I have close to 20k kms on my truck and seats are in good shape. I have not conditioned my "leather" and wonder if this is necessary. These seats seem to clean up like vinyl and I wonder if this material is more of a pleather than a leather.
