MAF Sensor covered under Powertrain Warranty?

I have my truck in for some work. Dealer called me and wants to replace the MAF due to some strange readings they are getting. I suppose the MAF doesn't fall under the 5yr 100,000 Power train warranty then..

I would think it should fall under either the powertrain or the emissions warranty.. What truck do you have?

I would guess emissions, and I would mention that...

12 Silverado 2500 Duramax.

It falls under emissions warranty and it should be 5 years or 50,000 miles for the Duramax.

Well then that would be why it was not covered by warranty. 2012, 74,000 miles. Ah well, thanks for the replies.

My reading of the labor time guide is 5yr/100k for the maf sensor.
