You have to allow it access to your phone. Mine did same thing. Now I just hit the Pandora app and it starts working. Never have to touch my phone now.

I really hope they make Pandora downloadable, I'm so mad they discontinued it for '17

 

Me too. I want the dedicated Pandora app for short trips around town when I don't need to run Android Auto (hard wired to USB). This is a real bummer.

Just got my 2017 last week, no Pandora and 3 lousy apps - what a joke GM

Here it is November and nothing has changed for the 2017's.  Fortunately, I have an Apple Watch, so I can do the thumbs up and down without having to unlock my phone.  Like has been said, who the heck wants to keep hooking up the USB for short trips around town.  Also, when you have Pandora open in Carplay, you still have to select a menu button to be able to do the thumbs.  Nothing like forcing the users to keep taking their eyes off the road.
