Just finished installing the Loadlifter 5000 Ultimate. Took about 3 hours, pretty straightforward as I watched the YouTube video. I got the ultimate since it has the internal jounce bumper and I can run them at 0psi. I have them at 10psi and actually don't mind the ride, it feels better actually! I found a neat place to mount the air filler in one of the bed plugs near the tailgate so I didn't have to drill a hole in the truck. We will see how it does when I tow the toy hauler..

I am not all that familiar with bags. Do you add air manually, is that what the valve is for? We had some airbags on an old van before and it had a button and gauge.

Yes, I add air manually via the valve since I have an air compressor at home. You can however, install an onboard air compressor and switch to fill them while in the cab for some extra $$

I have had them for nearly 2-years and they work very well. My stock pressure minimum is set to 5psi. I have the onboard wireless controller for the compressor and prefer it for being able to make adjustments while going down the road. Great set up and in my opinion I wish was available from the factory..

Looks like you drilled yours instead of using the u-bolts. I put my fill valves in the wheel wells. There was already a hole in the metal so I just had to drill through the liner. I also wrapped my lines in loom and used the clips you have to remove for the bags to secure my air lines. 8f93abd691cec1f8b77ea7c37e927958.jpg3e4d282bd6cb946de20d8ca157981177.jpg

Nice! I contemplated wrapping my tubes in that plastic as well.

And yes, I didn't want to remove the brake line bracket on the driver side(also because I couldn't figure out how haha) so I did the drill and self tapping bolt "5th wheel" method. I didn't like the look of the u bolts either, I painted them black before installation but ended up not using them.

The only reason I didn't want to put the valve in the wheel well was because I get a lot of snow and ice built up there when I go to the mountains and didn't want to chance breaking it off or something.

That would be awesome to have it from the factory with the psi adjustments made through the DIC screen in the gauge cluster!

I just bought this setup with the Black Friday sale at autoanything. Thanks for the post since I will be installing them shortly.

How much did you end up spending on the black Friday sale, if you don't mind me asking? I bought mine about a month ago and just got around to install. I spent $318 shipped..

The brake line bracket is pictured as being on the side of the frame rail but on my truck it was on top of the frame rail. It confused me for a while until I figured it out. I just hate to drill a hole in my frame.

In September I paid 335 for the springs and 392 for the Quickshot Single Path Supply kit. I got $100 rebate after the fact for the combo.
