Leveling kit, fair price??

Hello all, I know there are hundreds of posts regarding leveling kits, but too many to read through to get two questions answered, so here they are:

 

1. What's an acceptable price and install for a leveling kit?

 

2. Do they have "leveling" kits that aren't quite level? Meaning if perfectly level is 2.25" lift, do they have a kit that is 1.5" or 1.75" lift in front. I would still want a tiny bit tilt down in front, this way when I'm pulling a light trailer the back doesn't look like it's sagging while the nose is skyward.

I paid $300 installed for a level and could have gotten pretty much whatever lift height I wanted, so seems like they should have a 1.5" or 1.75" lift for you. If you're having it done, just ask whoever is doing it, they'll know.

level kit around $50, alignment around $75, would probably take a dedicated shop, what 2 hrs maybe? so maybe $250-$300 at a shop.

1. Roughly $300 for a spacer kit.

2. You can mix and match with all spacer/strut extension kits normally to make it however you want. Can remove or change the rear block out as well.

Do you all advise me to go to a local GM dealership to have it done, or will they just live up to their nicknames of "stealerships" and rip me off?

I don't mind paying an extra benjamin or so if going to a GM dealer keeps the suspension warranty intact.

So this is basically a spacer kit? Is that placed on bottom of the Rancho Off road shocks that I have or how does that work?

Is there a noticeable degrading of the ride quality (more stiff or bouncy) in the front?

 

Sorry for the elementary questions guys, I've never lifted a truck before, and have only owned 4x4 trucks for a bit with total driven mileage in of about 8,000 miles in all, so I'm still pretty new to 4x4 trucks. Cars and bikes are a different story.

I took mine to my local garage, they have worked on all my vehicles for the last 15 years or so, always a good job at a fair price - then I took it to the dealer for the alignment.

 

That was about 25k miles ago and I have had zero problems and I have never noticed any change in the smoothness of the ride.

MotoFab makes a 1.5" leveling kit. The bracket mounts under the strut. Easy install, then an alignment, and you're good to go. The kit and alignment cost me $80. See my post on it HERE.

I currently run a Zone Off road spacer kit that installs on the bottom. Before that I had a Skyjacker spacer that installs on the top. I have leveled every truck I have ever owned and the ride has always stiffened up a bit. You get a little less body roll and the cornering feels much better.

I went with the Motofab 2.5" kit. Found it for $124 on ebay.
