Our neighborhood had our area garage sales this weekend and my g/f and I drove around looking at them and at this one they had a set of KLH floor speakers for $40. They are 2 years old but the guy said he has only used them a couple of times. I was just wonder if anyone could lead me to a good receiver for these types of speaker. I would like to stay in the $200 or less area if possible. Thanks for you help in advance. :sigh::cool:

You don't get a whole lot for 200 bucks.............

What are you wanting to do with this setup?

If your looking for home audio then I would look no further then denon........

I would agree w/ Cowboy. I love my Denon 3802.

In the price range you are looking, you might want to consider Pioneer.

Yes, Denon is verry good. But @ $200 I might go for this: Panasonic SA-HE100. Dolby Digital, 100Watts x 6 channels. Pretty good little budget receiver from what I have read on other forums. Ebay has'em for around $210 or so. Also, I remember reading that the Panasonic receiver rated pretty high in "actual" power output. Just my $.02. Another very nice choice would be the Pioneer 811S. Last years model, but very highly regarded in the home theater world. Dolby Digital and 100W x 5 (I think, might be six). Also around $210 on Ebay. Either one would be great.

Happy Huntin. :thumbs::D:flag:

Look around here. When I was looking last week somebody on here sent me this link and it helped me get the entire system I wanted for $299, rather than the $499 Crutchfield wnated.

Nextag

Crutchfield is pretty good about providing info on each receiver, with pictures close up of the back. I used it to find what I wanted then ordered from one of the places on Nextag. Good Luck, I'll let you know how mine is once I get it if you haven't already got one.

Thanks for the reply's. I'm just looking for an all around good system that's not to expensive. I don't need really the really top of the line stuff but I don't want really low quality either. I just want something that will sound good that's all.

Thanks Elwood for the link I'll look around and see what I can find. :sigh:

Check all of your local electronics stores. SOme times you can get a good deal on a closeout,demo, or open box S&D. If they don't have anything like that, just find something you like for around $300. Odds are that Nextag can find it for you for around $200.

denon for sure. I have had the same receiver for 10 years and use it every day and have had zero problems with it. Sound quality is excelent but its a bit outdated now. I think it was $400 back in 93
