2014 Silverado Brake Pedal Squeak

I've noticed recently that my brake pedal is squeaking when braking- only occurring when I actually push the pedal (braking) and not on release. Nothing alarming, just annoying. Anyone experienced this and now how to fix? Thanks!

I did this song and dance when my truck was new. There really is no fix. I'm at 60k and the truck does it. Not all the time, not sure if it's temp related or what. Some days it's bad, some it's not even there. I've looked it myself for hours..... I think the noise is coming from a sealed area between the firewall push-rod. I greased everything humanly possible from the inside/underside. NO difference. The only thing I found online was a TSB from back a few years which stated to flush the brake fluid. I have a Motive power bleeder, and am very particular about keeping my brake fluid flushed and clean. I do every 3yrs or sooner if the fluid looks dingy. I did a power flush and used NAPA brand DOT 4 fluid like I use on my BMWs. Seemed to be the only thing that remotely helped. Let me restate that... it's the only that actually did help. It's still there, but not as bad. But now I have crystal clear fluid and went from DOT 3 to DOT 4 which has a much higher boiling point. All the German cars use DOT 4.... American cars use DOT 3. I'm convinced it's because DOT 4 fluid needs to be changed out much more regularly and i really don't know of any other american that is all about flushing brake fluid unless they are a fellow hands on BMW nut. My BMW onboard maintenance reminder (like our OLM) is setup for 3yr intervals on brake fluid. Yes, BMW's have a OLM for the brake fluid. My advice is flush the brake fluid and live with it or sell the truck.

Thanks. Just had the brake fluid flushed recently and the squeaking was still there. Not driving me crazy enough to sell it, just a minor inconvenience.

How much fluid was pushed through the system? What kind of fluid?

Total flush at the dealership- not sure the DOT rating but I'm sure it was correct.

I had the same thing on my 2014, they had to replace the brake booster.

How much did that end up costing? Might do it for $100-$200, but after that I'll live with a little squeak. Thanks!
