Replacing Bose Subwoofer

I have this little guy still around. Guess I'll pick up an audiocontrol lc2i and start taking things apart.

Those focals are nice. I didn't know they came in a 5". Although they have other funky sizes as well so I'm not surprised. Kicker are decent low end subs but not much better than the Bose. JL used to be about the same but they've come a long way in the last 20 years with their higher end subs.

 

Either way your best bet is to replace the sub and run a new amp for more bass. Adding an additional sub is a better option but you sacrifice space for a box of some kind. If that matters.

And to be honest MTX used to be my favorite subs. This was a time when Soundstream was the end all be all car audio solution but nothing shook a vehicle like those old ass MTX 12's. Haha
