110v ac plug problem

Hey guys, a few weeks ago I noticed the 110 plug that I was using to charge my phone wasn't working. The green light didn't come on like usual and obviously the phone wasn't charging. The #35 fuse on the passenger side was in fact blown, so I changed it. Plugged in a two different chargers and each one popped a new 25a fuse immediately. I've never used the outlet for anything other than charging a phone. It worked great for the first couple months I've had the truck. Question is, has anyone had this issue with fuses continuously blowing? I'm sure it would be covered under warranty, but I thought I'd see if anyone had an idea before I head 50 miles to the dealership. Thanks for any replies ahead of time.

The truck is a 2016 silverado z71 lt double cab with the jump seat up front.

The first time I used the 110 plug in my 2014 Silverado, it did not power up my device and there was a burning smell in the cab. The next time my truck was in for service, it was replaced under warranty.

I took the truck in this morning to get the android auto update and had them take a look at the plug as well. Hopefully a simple fix. Thanks for the info guys.

Any resolution to this issue? I'm experiencing the same problem. Have only used 110v outlet to charge phone. Found the fuse blown one day. Replaced it. Instantly blows when I plug the charger in again.

I'm also having 110V issues. I've checked every possible fuse and even pulled the console apart to make sure there weren't any loose connections. From what I've researched there is a inverter module in drivers footwell that needs to be replaced in situations like this. Can anyone confirm?

I can't confirm on the location of the inverter module itself but if you replaced the fuses and they still keep blowing then i would assume the inverter is bad. At least that was the issue with my truck and a new inverter fixed the issue.

Dealership replaced the A.C. inverter module under warranty. Resolved my issue. It is located located on the driverside, under the knee panel.
