I bought a 2017 1500 Denali 6.2 and have had it in shop 3 times for trying to get them to fix the rough idle of the truck. Last time told me it was a motor mount issue and replaced the motor mounts. I can tell no difference Very dissapointing truck after you spend this kind of money.

L86 has a rough idle, while you may have done research to clonclude yours is worse than others, just keep that in mind. I own a 6.2 and have had a 6.2 loaner, and have rented a camaro ss, all have the same rough idle. By rough I mean you can feel the engine a little sometimes, which is not normal on a modern car, but not actually rough compared to say a modified car running big injectors and a cam.

OK so I guess no one wanted to order one. i just went ahead and got the bed cover (did not get the toolbox yet) looks pretty good so far it appears to be sturdy with nice milled aluminum brackets.

I am looking at the G4 as an option for a bed cover.  How is it holding up and what are your thoughts on it now?  Any water in the bed issues?

Thanks

I am pretty well pleased with the FoldACover so far, there is some minor leakage at the car wash but if does a good job of sealing up I had put the tailgate seal on but the silly thing came unstuck in spots and I pulled it back off. Great hardware package on these, it looks like it will last a long time, it can be pretty heavy to fold up all the way to the front if you were a smaller guy with low muscle tone........  Only aggravating thing I have found is when you close the tailgate with the cover staying shut the rear seal folds under and forward into the incorrect position to make a proper seal; and you have to lift the cover to let it fold (pop back) outward and properly seal. If you like to keep the foldacover locked that is can be quite inconvenient.  I usually just keep the rear leaf unlocked and open it slightly before shutting the tailgate and then let it drop back down to get the seal popped out properly. If you leave it folded the wrong way for a long period it can be tough to get the seal to lay down the proper way. i would probably buy one again if I needed one on a trifoldstep equipped truck, the front independently folding leaf is pretty darn awesome.

I love my 17 Ultimate. I also got a great deal on it because the 18s were out and I had a ton of rebates I found online that I used. I have the 6.2 and there is a slight rougher idle, but I also have the Borla catback so that may add a little to it. I am right at 5k miles and so far so good. Hope it stays that way. It has some hella power though!

These trucks do spoil you though.. the lane assist and collision alert with the auto braking is a nice touch. You can literally take the hand off the wheel and the truck will stay in the lane by itself. It also flashes a red light on the screen and vibrates the hell out of your seat if you get to close to another vehicle. If you get closer than you should, the truck will stop itself, which is nice but also scares the hell out of you the first time it happens.

The fold out steps are nice as well, but I wish they didn't extend so far out. I am 6'3 and it can make it a little awkward getting out of the truck lol. It isn't bad enough to complain though and I like how they are hidden while parked, driving, etc.
