Just wondering if anyone else has this issue, my accelerator pedal seems to have a slight hang up in it around wide open throttle.

BTW it's a 6.2 8 speed, I had a 2015 5.3 and I didn't have this. It feels like a click in the pedal right at wide open throttle.

Totally normal it was engineered that way same with the 5.3 I would assume the 4.3 too than......It has to do something with more control with input up a grade while towing.....I believe

Kickdown Mode

The accelerator pedal provides an

additional downshift after pressing

through the kickdown feature.

 

It requires extra pedal pressure near

the end of its travel to engage.

I think this feature is for the 6.2L only

Thanks all,the additional kick down for the 8 speed makes sense because this was not on my 15 with the 5.3. Thank you for the great info.
