Transmission Filter Service

Hello,first timer here.Sorry if this has been addressed before,but I was planning on changing the transmission filter in my 2013 Silverado 1500 Extended cab.It looks like there is an exhaust pipe down there that is going to prevent the pan from coming off.Just wondering as to the recommended procedure.I have read to drop the exhaust and another idea is to try and raise the transmission.I would like to know the recommended way.I much prefer to do this myself if possible,as opposed to paying the dealer $250.Thanks!

My truck is a 10 and I couldnt get the bolts on the manifold loose so i tried lifting the trans which is only held by 1 bolt in crossmember. Long story short I tried using a jack to raise the trans and still couldnt get it. If you manage to get the pan to clear it's easy, if not it's a pain

Check youtube. I recently found several videos describing how to get past this exact problem.

Have to take out the y-pipe in order to drop the trans pan...cut out exhaust hardware to remove, later replace with new bolts and new factory c-style band clamp.
