Amp power steps with body lift

Hey guys, I had a 7.5" rough country lift installed with 35x12.50s on 20x12 wheels, -44 offset. Because of the offset of the wheel I still have quite a bit of rubbing. I plan to fix this by having a zone 1.5" body lift installed. My question is has anyone installed the amp power steps with a body lift? Amp says it can't be done but I've read on other forums where it was done with a 3" body lift with modification to the body minutes and I've read where it was done with a 1.5" body lift with no modification. I thought the power steps mounted to the body and not the frame so I don't understand why the body lift would affect it. Has anyone else done it? I really want the power steps but I NEED the body lift.

I put amps on with my 1.25" body lift with no issues. Only issue I had was when it went back in on the driver side, the arm would hit the e-brake clip. Do a little messing around with it and no issues now. Doesn't hit body mounts or anything like that

Amp makes a special kit for trucks with body lifts so I don't know why they told you it can't be done. It's called the PowerStep XL:

Really? Wow. I just called them today and was told it wouldn't work so I turned to the forums. I read that it could be done so I called the shop I'm going to use to do the work and he told me he could make it work.
