What automotive oriented tv shows do you watch?

.......and which ones do you like / don't like? I'll start with my "likes" in order of preference:

1. Chasing Classic

2. What's my car worth?

3. Mecum auctions

4. Wheeler Dealers

Garage Squad, Gearz, Graveyard Carz are just "ok". But I absolutely refuse to watch Fast and Loud anymore. It started out good but has become too scripted, fake and dramatized.......and I'll bet when the cameras are off the real mechanics take over.

I like Full Custom Garage on MAV TV. Ian is an artist and a true craftsman. He does everything the way the old hot rodders did back in the day. It's about the cars and not the drama and BS like most modern shows. Who gives a damn about Richard Rawlings and his jewelry and hair gel?

I like 'em all

Kendig design

Diesel brothers

Street Outlaws

Kount Customs

Rat Rods' Welder Up

On and on

to name a few

Chasing classic cars, Gearz, motorweek, pretty much it these days. Used to like hot rod tv on the old speed channel and trucks.

I don't watch TV.

I was attacked by a cathode ray tube of extra terrestrial origin. :)

LED is in full swing, maybe I'll go be dynamical and get a tv.

Being a mechanic, crew chief, fabricator, to nuclear and back.. cryogenic to melting..

what in hell is going to interest me anyway.

I like comedic approaches to restomod.

all found on the internet.

Roadkill

motortrend on demand

I subscribed to some younger people, as I am twice their age.. as if watching as a father figure in silence.

I know my time was real, as all my predictions come through is if following a script.

Great shows to keep an eye on is any fabrication. Tools and machines are upgrading all the time with electronics making it easy.

I don't get much time to watch TV, but I do like Counting Cars. I know some of it is silly, but I do like the idea of them fixing up cars.

I tell you, if two guys dressed like Danny and one of his guys came up to my house asking about my car, I would be real nervous! Yea, especially Horny Mike, I guess I would judge them by their first appearance, but after to get to know them, they are really nice guys.

Years ago I used to watch Shadetree Mechanic, that was a real informative show.

I hope they do that 1962 Pontiac Grand Prix that they showed last night.

I liked Mobsteel from Detroit, but that show disappeared for some reason.

Edit: Decided to do some digging, found out the Mobsteel is now Detroit Steel and is on History Channel Saturdays at 10/9c. Looks like I will be catching up on some episodes tonight since the weather is crap.

I watch Street Outlaws because I know Kye Kelly and Gas Monkey because I know KC Mathieu. Also like Merican Pickers cause they find cool shit and Danielle Colby is as hot as a kitchen match! And Mobsteel builds pretty cool stuff too.

I miss KC... he was one of my favorites on the show. I still follow his shop's website. That c10 he built last year is amazing!

    • I have the VSE CCV kit. It is a quality product. Fairly easy installation. I vent it back into the turbo intake horn, like stock. I check the reservoir monthly. I have seen oily water come out. So far, after 6 months I would say it has collected about 8-10 ounces of crap.
    • I'm getting out in public more these days and rely on a walker for anything more than short distances.  I am impressed with how kind others are in their efforts to assist when they see me doing the old man walker shuffle!  I find teenagers hanging out at the mall are often the first to get ahead of me to open a door or to offer me the opportunity to get in front of them in a lineup!  I am very fortunate that this is temporary for me and I have a developed a huge appreciation for those seniors struggling to maintain some mobility. Walkers, canes or scooters will assist with mobility but they don't eliminate the challenges.  Chances are the individual using these devices are hurting.  A few kind words of recognition from a stranger can take away the discomfort for a few moments.  I am looking forward to paying forward all of the kindness I have received!
    • Curious @newdude, how does this change when a 6L80 is either fitted with a billet converter OR is behind a V6 whose converter isn't a pile of junk? Oh, and are you saying in the above the 4-5-6 clutch's burning up is the result of the converter/pump induced failure or they are just fragile? Thanks in advance for any feedback you may be willing to give.
    • 5.3 Sierra with approximately 80,000 miles had a radiator replacement about 6 months ago which required pulling the AC condenser and a vacuum and recharge on the system.  AC cooled fine until about a month ago, when it would suddenly start blowing lukewarm air for 5 minutes at a time at various points throughout the day, then suddenly resume cooling again.  Sometimes its when stopped at an intersection and other times while moving.  I've read about the internal electronics in the compressor going bad on these trucks and not cycling properly, but sounds like many dealers just chase AC issues with a parts cannon.  Also wondering if they charged it correctly when the radiator was replaced.   Is there an easy way to see if these electronically driven compressors are engaging properly, or to check for freeze up, etc.?  Dealer usually wont do much unless they can replicate or I can show them a video of what's going on.
    • Apparently it doesn't trigger a fault, at least according to my dealer, but in one month its gone from once or twice a week to several times a day, so you can catch it on video and its likely to be seen by the dealer.  I've heard some have replaced only the switch, yet others have required full shifter assembly replacement to the tune of $900+?
