I don't think aftermarket UCAs are going to help you. Most specify 4.75" backspacing max.

Well that's no bueno... I haven't looked too much at the aftermarket specs though. I might have to take trip back to the shop for them to check the alignment again. With so many others running bigger tires on these stock rims with no issues it's very strange... I hope it's the alignment which is much cheaper then new rims!

Seems like these new stamped steel control arms are cuasing more problems than the cast steel or aluminum control arms.

It really shouldn't matter but it bet if you use a TOP spacer level kit instead of that bottom Spacer only, that would fix your problem.

I see the lower spacer but to you have the upper one too for a 2.5" leveling kit?

thats exactly what the shop said. they are ordering new parts and installing it free of charge thankfully. if that doesn't fix the problem I'm going to coil overs

I've got a 2016 silverado with OEM GMC a/t 20s on 33x12.5. Mine rubs real bad on the UCA, but rubbed some with the stock tires that were on the wheels to begin with. Do you have stamped steel control arms? I've heard they are a beefier control arm, making rubbing more prominent at lock

Angles look very similar to mine with fox 2.0 coilovers with stock 20"s. I didn't adjust my coilovers and they brought up the front 2" out of the box. My rubbing isn't as bad but I noticed very early on and have been really careful not to go full lock in either direction. I also took it back to the shop for another alignment and everything was good. Gotta be the stamped steel arms being thicker/wider than the cast or aluminum.

I believe the only option if you want to keep the wheels is spacers. I am planning to keep mine upgrade the UCAs and put it n spacers to run bigger wider tires.

Question for you guys with the stamped steel control arms, that are having rubbing issues.

Is it just rubbing on the Upper control arms, and NOT the lower?

Just curious, as I also have stamped steel control arms and will be doing a small lift soon, with keeping the stock wheels, just wondering what may be coming my way.

lower is fine. was getting ready to spend some money on AMP steps but looks like it might be going to fox's and some new UCA's. still trying to locate the problem and seeing what the best possible answer is for it. i don't want to be driving an expensive truck and not be able to go lock to lock with it because of a leveling kit.

Thanks for answering that.

Again I'll be doing a small budget minded lift soon. Im going to go with the superlift 3.5 , it comes with new Upper control arms; that are much thinner than the factory stamped steel control arms, also while changing the ball joint angles to work with the lift. I think this is going to work the best other than going with an all out full expensive lift. You should check this out.

Note, most aftermarket UAC's say you can't use your stock wheels alone, only with a wheel spacer, so that's something to check before you buy UAC's.

Now the superlift 3.5 says you can use your stock wheels, they even listed a wheel and tire chart, check it out.

Also comes with front diff drop spacers, skid plate, and new taller rear shocks, very good bang for the buck.

I have stamped, no clearance problems with 2" level.

I wish someone would have told me this before I ordered my leveling kit, but keep in mind that lower strut spacers will NOT work with these stamped steel lower arms. The rounded edges/shape of the LCA will not allow for a flat spacer to sit flush.

No issues at all with the top strut spacers though :)

so i just need to swap it out for the top spacer and take the bottom one off and hopefully ill be fine?

That is correct! The kit i ordered was the 2.25 procomp level which came with both the top and bottom spacers.

Top spacer only gave me about 1.25 inches (couldnt use the bottom obviously), and then i did bilsteins all around with the front adjusted to 1.25 giving me 2.5 total.

I also did a 1 inch block in the rear maintaining about 3/4 inch or so of rake in the rear (which i wanted) but looks damn near level to the eye.

Long story short, if you did a 2-2.5 inch top spacer, you will be pretty spot on level! Below is how mine sits
