Tailgate lift assist

I called the dealer, they said I have to change the tailgate also.

Normally, I would say that is the way to go, but will the paint/quality of match? They do not have color matched tail gates sitting around in stock.

They told me the same.... I figured I would live with it...The blue topaz paint was too pretty.

It doesn't seem worth a new tailgate in order to have spring assist, imo. It is nice, but not that nice! However, if it was important , I am confident a reputable paint shop can colour match!

I would try another dealer, you can buy replacement parts, why can't they replace the parts?

I upgraded to a summit white 2500 so that was no longer an issue
