I'm going back and forth with my tire choice on my new Sierra when it comes in. The current tire is a 265/65r18. My plan is to do a 1 to 1.5" level lift and change tires. I'm not looking to go taller as much as I want wider. so here are the specs of my options. Anyone ever do the 285? Pics?

265/65R18- 31.6 H, 10.4 CURRENT

275/65R18- 32.1 H, 10.9 W

285/60R18 - 31.5 H, 11.2 W

Nope, no one has done it I don't believe. Try searching to see, I may be wrong in the tons of will this tire fit threads that have been started...

Tyler

I searched a bunch. Seems to be most are 20" wheels or they jump right up to a 33" tire.

My data shows the 285/65R18 would be 32.6 tall tire by 11.2 wide.

You have my attention sir.

What wheels and what tire brand are you running?

Could you post a couple of photos of your set up?

I'm running the stock 18inch wheels. The tires are the Toyo Open Country AT2 Xtremes.

Sharp looking truck.

Great look with the stock rims.

So are you running wheel spacers?

Without them I would expect you would rub on the sway bar.

Thanks man! I'm happy with the set up. No, no wheel spacers and no rubbing on the sway bars. The only rub I had at first was on the carpet at full lock. The tire shop zip tied the carpet back when they put the level kit and tires on. At first there was very minor rub on the carpet at full lock, but it wore its self out in a few days so no rub now. Had the tires and kit put on in December, less than 1,500 miles on the tires. I have the 2.25 readylift.

Follow up question.

I read that you used a 2.25" readylift.

Did that include the rear lift blocks also?

No sir, the rear is stock. There is still a slight rake. Not much at all though.
