Which borla exhaust configuration should I get???

I am wanting to get a OEM GM Borla Cat Back system for my 2017 Silverado. I do not want the "out the back pipes" but not sure if I should go with both pipes out the side or duals out the side

Which do you suggest and why?

Thanks

I personally am a fan of the dual passenger side exit Corsa tips moreso than the Borla, but to each his own. Not sure if there's much advantage to buying the GM variant of the Borla, as you're only getting the backpressure valve included. I have not noticed much of a sound/drone difference between Borla and GM's variant.

I agree with the Borla vs. GM Borla. I went with a non-GM S-Type Borla system and love it/had plenty of compliments. Don't notice any drone but sounds much better than factory.

You should try deleting the muffler first. I paid like 40 bucks. I left the flapper in place. I can have less noise or more noise. It sounds as good or better than the cat back I had on my 2013.

I like out the passenger side, but I couldn't stomach the price so I dejected my muffler. If I ever want a different sound I'll add an xr-1 in front of the flapper valve. I could do that, and buy a soar stock exhaust for a ton less than the GM borla. But the GM borla does sound good, and it's a higher grade of stainless.

Has anyone ran their truck on the dyno after muffler delete?

Not sure, but I remember seeing a dyno result of a Corsa equipped truck. It picked up 12 whp at around 5600 rpm with no tuning. I can imagine the same can be said for the Borla. However, it's hard to believe that a muffler delete would yield any horsepower at all on these trucks.

My thoughts exactly. I know what the Borla dynos but I am concerned that there might even be a slight loss with muffler delete

I purchased the dual out the back exhaust and I regret it. It has been 1 year since it was installed. I drove up a steep incline and the pipes hit dirt. Out the back right wheel (passenger side) is where it's at. It's like a truck should be. I think I will switch to this one. Here is the model number 140550.

If there is a slight loss my butt can't feel it. It feels exactly the same.

The one benefit of dual out back is it keeps the muffler tips from getting pounded with rocks and mud. But yeah you loose a little ground clearance on the rear bumper.

I'd get the one that has both pipes out the same side.. I feel like getting the duals to match 100% is such a pain in the ass.
