I have a gmc c2500 5.7 it has 60,000 miles on it it was given to me by my grandfather because he wasent using it I have changed the oil and put a drop in air filter but that is all so far, I need to do some maintenance but want the power back it idles great and drives fine it's just dosent have any get it and go any help with what i need to change out

If it was me.

A complete tune up, replace all parts. New fuel filter, check EGR valve, check everything. Anything questionable replace it. :happysad:

Be great if you had some way of telling what the CMP retard was. Slight turn of that distributor and it'll fall on its face when you accelerate.
