Thermostat housing.

So I went and had the radiator thermostat and new thermostat housing changed. I noticed the new housing is plastic? Is this the new design for them? They told me at dealer that is what the service bulletin said to do.

Why?

radiator was starting to leak from wrong thermostat from factory. So that's what all they replaced. I was just surprised to see thermostat housing was plastic. But then again I never looked at the one that came on it. So it may have been plastic to.

I had this done under warranty, now i have a higher temp when towing it goes a little past half mabey 220. Anyone else appearance this?

interesting, i will have to look and see if mine is plastic. wasa going to change the thermostat because my truck takes a long time to warm up

That's what mine was doing. Seemed like it took a long time to warm up. Better get it checked before radiator starts to leak like mine did.

Would anyone have the part number for the new thermostat and housing.

I will definitely say now that I had this done in should have taken it in along time ago. I can't believe how much faster it warms up to 210. I always thought something just wasn't quite right before this.
