Fender flare mud flap combo silverado

I have searched far and wide for a thin fender trim (like comes stock on the sierra) that also has a matching mud flap. No luck.

My motivation is to protect the inner fender trim from rock chips but I don't want to lose my mud flaps for the sake of fender trim. I drive on dirt roads several times a year which puts a beating on your truck.

Is my best bet to leave the husky mud flaps I have and LineX the inner fender trim?

i have also searched and found nothing in plastic, i did try the putco black stainless wheel moldings but they suck. the fit was verry poor and would not stay tight against the truck, 200 bucks in the garbage

I researched and found that Husky flaps will work with GM OEM flares. So I'm gonna get the flares from GM then order the flaps from Husky

Not exactly what you're asking for, but my mud flaps have a bit of a flare to protect a bit better than your standard mud flaps and I love them. Details in my build thread linked in my signature.

I've looked at this as well, but never made a decision or a purchase. One problem that jumps out to me is that you buy the flares for protection, but the flares cause damage - just talk to anyone that has had them on and then taken them off. That being said, there are a few companies that make mudflaps that will go with fender flares. I think the gatorbacks are one such option, and it seems like there is another company out of Oregon that does as well, but the name is escaping me.

BTW - I think Silverado saver has a great set-up. Gives some protection - looks good - etc.

Thanks. I have the Gatorbacks on my truck and think they are fantastic. Pricey, but awesome.
