Stock or quiet Muffler with Headers?

So here is an update. I ended up buying a $50 muffler from my local muffler shop. The brand is Flow II 22" muffler. It is "straight through". At first I thought it was way too quiet. Almost sounded stock even with my headers but after driving for 2 weeks it has really started to sound a lot better. I love the sound. Ended up being almost exactly what I wanted. Only cost me $130 installed and I can not tell any difference with power. Sometimes I think it even runs a little stronger. Maybe a little back pressure helped? I've heard this argument many times before wether back pressure helps or hurts on V8 engines. What do you guys think? Thanks

I had very good success with the maglanflow 22" when I had 1 7/8" American racing headers on my Silverado.

 

Before I had the Volant cat back (same as corsa but cheaper) and like 07softail said....I had to quiet it down for my own sanity.

 

I took some videos before I got rid of the truck with the whole setup on it but I loved the way the magnaflow toned it down.

 

this is a before and after headers so you can hear what I was working with....note I had catless headers

 

 

this is just removing the Volant muffler and welding in the 22" magnaflow, it was an offset in and center out 3"

I've got stock catback on my truck with headers and no cats. Not that loud, sounds good at wot and startup but it's pretty quiet in normal driving conditions

Flo Pro Big Oval (one in two out) on mine and dumped before the rear end. Really low deep rumble at idle.....no drone in cab and VERY mild sound outside.....basically a stock replacement for 6.0, but just a very little bit more noise. LOVE IT!!!
