Stock or quiet Muffler with Headers?

No not on mine. Stock. But the 70 sounds almost stock but keeps the punch.

So here is an update. I ended up buying a $50 muffler from my local muffler shop. The brand is Flow II 22" muffler. It is "straight through". At first I thought it was way too quiet. Almost sounded stock even with my headers but after driving for 2 weeks it has really started to sound a lot better. I love the sound. Ended up being almost exactly what I wanted. Only cost me $130 installed and I can not tell any difference with power. Sometimes I think it even runs a little stronger. Maybe a little back pressure helped? I've heard this argument many times before wether back pressure helps or hurts on V8 engines. What do you guys think? Thanks

How's it going guys, I'm in the same boat pretty much. I have kooks 1 3/4 headers with high flow cats and a corsa cat back. VERY LOUD!! My wife wants to shoot me in the mornings when I go to work. I Iike how it sounds at idle, but at start up and wide open it's is just insane loud. After the standard 87 tune it sounded a little better. I'd hate to start a trial an error with purchasing mufflers. Would a resonator go before the muffler or after?

 

RaptorEater, u have any sound clips? Also what's the name of those rims...that's my next modification? Thanks in advance fellas.

Over the Corsa yes - > FlowMaster 50 Series Big Block muffler swap.

2017 Denali 1500 6.2 ARH 1 7/8 with high flow cats and a borla touring dual rear exit. I am playing on the safe side, I hope, for the exact reason of not wanting to regret it being too loud.

 

I havent heard it yet hopfully picking it up from the shop today. I'll post a vid if anyone wants to hear it.

Just got the truck back today 2017 6.2l with ARH 1 7/8 LT's with hi flow cats and gm borla touring dual rear exit. I will get some more vids in the next few days but is it louder that my phone picks up i had the windows down. For me its perfect. I wanted my truck to sound like a truck but not be obnoxious.

You are a saint, Ive been waiting for someone to post a vid of the GM Borla with headers. I had a suspicion it would sound amazing but wanted to hear it!

 

Love to hear some in car driving vids windows up/down and maybe a fly by.
