Morning delayed and harsh engagement?

What would cause a delayed and somewhat harsh engagement in a 6 spd in a 2012? Got about 100k, fluid and filter changed regularly, no CEL or codes I can scan.

Weak pump.... Bad valve body or solenoids. Aftermarket makes nice stuff.

Ok, so off to the dealer then...

Dealer isnt going to Upgrade the Pump with a Sonnax boost valve, or put in a updated valvebody .

You need a shop near you that can and will do it right, then test it on a dyno.

I would do a new , or reman pump with this>> http://www.sonnax.com/parts/3069-boost-valve-kit

And a reman Valve body. Some aftermarket rebuild kits are excellent for durability and longevity.

good luck!

PS... cl2Sparky has a valid point.. make sure its up to temp and isnt above 200

Is the warrantee on the truck up? If not, I would definitely get the dealer to fix it...

Good point... Even if you're over 100k there's a good possibility of dealer getting Goodwill money

Let me describe it better, it does it once, after sitting overnight, when cold.

Doesn't do it after the initial engagement..doesn't do it after sitting eight hours at work. Does it frequently, but not every morning.

Once that initial drop into drive is done in the morning, truck drives and shifts fine the rest of the day...

Doesn't sound like it's worn out if it only does it once. Maybe trans. fluid temp. sensor out of range. I would let the dealer have at it.

If I had to guess what if feels like is that things aren't primed. Like the system isn't pumped full...and these pump fluid in Park correct?
