Rear Sliding Window Stop Broke Off

Hello, my search for a part or procedure to fix this has not gone well. I see TONS of power slider cable/regulator help but my issue isn't with that, myissue is the plastic stop has torn off of the glass. I can't find a replacement piece of plastic on gmpartsdirect or anywhere else. I can't believe you would need to buy new glass with the piece already attached. Seems like this should be a common problem but I guess not. Anyone had this happen and found a replacement part?

you can try one of the various "kits" to glue rear view mirrors to glass, or other glues/epoxies, or even try a window replacement shop if they have the right glue to do it. I've tried several of the 'kits' specifically for rear view mirrors, and a couple types of glue, never got them to stick for very long. And when you buy a replacement windshield, they have the rear view mirror tag already glued on.

Unfortunately "new glass" means a new rear window which means almost $700 just for the part plus installation. I wonder if anyone here knows who manufactures the sliding window. I can try and contact them. I refuse to pay that much for a freaking $1.00 piece of plastic. I'll pay a shop to mill me a new piece.

maybe try either a regular window replacement place or even try a used parts place for the glass...course, I don't know how difficult it is to swap the glass out (some windows are real easy, and are bolt on, some are glued...)

Going to try and find a broken rear slider in the junk yard. Maybe I can chisel the piece off and reglue it. Dealer didn't even bother to reply to me.
