Door Holds Lots of Water!

Door holds lots of water... or so I think it does anyway. It rained yesterday and I did not use my truck at all, home sick. This morning everything was pretty much dried up outside. I opened the door and wow look at the water that dripped out over approximately 30 seconds!

 

Looks like it's coming from the rubber seal which is the higher one right below the bottom interior door panel. I ran my finger across it and some more water came out. I think that seal might fill with water.

 

Anyone else notice this? Sorry - no real point to my post lol ?

Yes I notice the same thing with mine. The driver door holds more than the pass door. Almost like it has drainage problems while the door is closed. Annoying and may cause rust at some point??

 

The water collects in the hollow gasket body, not the door itself.

I would say yes it will cause rust over time.

 

OJ - not this time! Plus, I would never aim in a direction where it could potentially splash back onto the truck ??

Yep noticed it with my old 2014 and this new 2016. Figured it was something to do with the new triple seal gasket system....

If the water is IN the gasket, it's not going to cause rust.

 

Easy fix would be to put a couple of notches in the bottom of it.
