shoregmc55 Posted April 25, 2017 Posted April 25, 2017 Has any one out there built a true dual exhaust? If so any details about the set up. how you ran the pipe, mufflers... thinking about doing my own, but maybe im biting off more than I can chew.
'17 Sierra Posted April 26, 2017 Posted April 26, 2017 True duals may sound good but you'll sacrifice performance; mainly low end torque. 2 to 1 with an X pipe and back to 2 is the best option.

Thats what i am worried about building my own making sure i have proper back pressure and all flow and all that.
BigBadSierra Posted April 27, 2017 Posted April 27, 2017 You need the crossover to keep these engines happy.

vfm2010 Posted April 28, 2017 Posted April 28, 2017 A complete dual exhaust system, headers to tailpipe with an X pipe (its their Performance connect) is available from Stainless Works. The complete system is just under $2900. I didn't find this until after I had already put on a Borla S-Type. http://stainlessworks.net/chevy-silverado-gmc-sierra-2014-16-headers-and-exhaust

I wonder what there return policy is?? haha I'll buy it, then buy my own pipe and mufflers, copy it, then return it. Hahaha
Delgaty Posted May 10, 2017 Posted May 10, 2017 I had a custom kit done by a local shop that does a lot of custom work. I wanted a true dual and they advised against an X-pipe but I'm thinking about having one spliced in. One cat removed, Flowmaster Super 40s/44s (can't remember which). Little bit of reduced power off the line but at higher RPM it performs and sounds great. Smoked stainless tips.
