They look to bare, they need some trim or something on the side, I like them with cladding better also.

I agree

It is obvious that these new Avalanches are using Silverado body parts. The wheel wells are the same measurements and the front nose clip is identical to the Silverados.

With that said, I drove by my dealer to just look and they had only about three remaining. Earlier during the week, they had about 15 so these seem to be selling well. But, actually, what I was responding to is that the ones at my dealer had door ding protectors like the crew cab Silverado, and fender flares. They weren't plain as the ones in the earlier photos. Actually, they just looked like crew cab pickups with the mid-gate bed. Very nice design evidenced by how fast they are selling.

Which is one of the reasons I think it looks better.

Round tires SHOULD have rounded wheel openings....not flat ones.

As far as how much I like the cladding, -not that anyone asked- I would just have

to say that it's kinda like how I see women.....Much better without clothes, but

still quite nice with them on....I like them either way. Just nice trucks.

What if...... what if we could get flat wheel openings with square tires? Think about it. Would be an excellent exercise in suspension design :D and the East side of any big city would supply steady customers to GM. And from a practical stand point, no emergency brake would be needed so wheel chocking wouldn't be required when parked on the side of the road. :D

Do they offer the avalanches without cladding but with side moldings? I think that would look pretty good.

I have seen a few around here that have what appears to be a similar molding to the bodyside moldings on the 03 Silverado's and no cladding. That did look pretty good!

now if they could take that plastice peice out from under the tailgate it would look better i think. Now it makes it look like it has a body lift and they used that to cover the gap. And if they would do as the EXT's and paint the plastic to match over the bed it would look perfect.

The two in the pictures are too bare. The only ones I like like that are in arrival blue. I have seen a few with fender flares, but no cladding, very good looking. :smash:

I agree. I didn't like them at all when they came out, but they have grown on me and I like them now. Cladding and all!
