What is the consensus on the best replacement diff for the factory g80? I need to do some investigation this weekend but I think I need to replace it. I was considering the Auburn with the cone style clutches.

The Truetrac is a good choice for most. It's probably one of the most affordable as well. I stuck one in mine about 3 years ago or so, after years of problems with the G80.

Been trouble free ever since and it actually works when I want it to.

That looks like a good choice as well and a little less expensive than the Auburn. Looks alot like the torsen gm used in the 7.5" 10 bolts in the 4th Gen f bodys.
