2014-17 Silverado/Sierra Headers

I am wanting to get long tube headers for my 2017 Silverado 5.3 and was wondering what everyone recommends brand wise? I am really interested in the Texas Speed, and Performance 1" and 7/8 headers. They seem like the best deal by far being 304 stainless steel with Y pipe shipped for 691 dollars. Just curious if anyone has used those? Long term no plans for forced induction or a cam yet. Just possibly a 3200 Yank stall is the only other mod planned after the headers. Any input would be appreciated.

My brother has Stainless Works catted long tubes on his 2014 Camaro SS. They build quite the product but at a cost of course. USA made as well.

Yeah I really do like those and have seen them on a truck in person but like you said at a cost lol.

Kooks, ARH, Stainless Works for long tubes. Doug Thorley has some nice shorty Tri-Y design headers as well.

Don't blame you. Saw them on a RCSB Z-71 a few days ago and they look extremely well made. They aren't Hedmann or Blackjack header quality for sure.

I ordered a set of Kooks 1 7/8 with catless Y for 1100 shipped. I've been "patiently" waiting for 8 weeks for them to ship from the company. I was planning on going ARH but got a better deal on the Kooks. I'm running a Corsa sport cat back now. I've herd good things about Texas speed but there is some cutting required to make them fit from what I've read on here.

Black Bear Perf. recommended the ARH when I was shopping for them. Price is high, but they were willing to work out a deal. Still dunno if I wanna drop that kinda cash on headers though

Yeah is a big investment for sure. From what I heard the TSP headers themselves go on great. It is the y pipe that doesn't always go on so easy.

Tsp headers here...no issues with them, my second set and just recently installed a set on a buddies truck and they fit perfect every time. The y-pipe isn't an issue, or wasn't for my installs. If you tighten the headers down all the way before the y-pipe gets put in, it becomes a pita to get the y-pipe on as there's no clearance. Leave everything loose then get it on and tighten it down. Another set of hands helpsnbout big time

Awesome thanks for the info!! How does your 14 seem to respond performance wise with the TSP headers? Any issues with them being 1 7/8"?

I'd say pretty good, it's a 6.2 with headers/intake/tune and runs awesome lol. They seemed to wake it up pretty decent I'd say. Have had em on for 8-9 months now I believe, not a single issue. 386hp/419tq to the wheels with em

I love my ARH headers. Got them hooked up to a Corsa DB exhaust and it's hand's down the best sounding truck I've ever had so far. Driveability increased as well, with a tune of course. Just don't expect a rocket after a set of headers, they're mostly noise makers, but damn good ones.

My vote goes to ARH. Perfect fit, never a leak and high resale value when you take them off to trade vehicles. There is always someone looking for a used set.
