Black Spot on Muffler edge - Leak?

My brother in law noticed this when he was looking at my truck. The muffler has a black soot looking deposit around the rear edge at the weld. I saw this on another truck too in the parking lot the other day. Is this normal or indicative of an leak? Does it even matter? Thanks!

Should be the weep hole for all that condensate/exhaust particles..............

It's a weep hole to drain condensation. The black is just soot. Perfectly normal. It keeps the muffler from filling with water and condensation.
