6.2l supercharged ls4?

I was wondering if anyone has seen an example of this engine used in the camaro zl1 and corvette z06 placed in a 1500. Would the 8 speed tranny even be able to handle it? I don't have the funds to try it, but I sure think it would be cool.

you mean the LT4, yes it would be fine with the 8L90 - 8 speed. Heck soon your going to see a few factory pull offs for guys who want to make more power. Lots of LSA SC's were installed on loads of Gen 4 and even gen 3 engines with adaptor plates.

It would be a whole lot easier and cheaper, and likely better, to just swap in an l86, upgrade the pistons, and slap on a tvs2300.

Tvs2300 > lt4 blower

I looked up the cost of that engine and supercharger and its about 14k for both. The lt4 is about 13.5k. So about even if I account for the better performance from the tvs.

Maximum performance engineering in Bristol, RI built a '14 6.2 truck w/ blower but used the 6 speed I don't think its stock either though believe they pulled the tranny & had it built up.

So then it might be wise to take the 10 speed auto from the zl1, but I'm sure it would take modification of at least the driveshaft if not the transfer case. I'm guessing that if no one has done this it's because it's a $20k + upgrade!

I'm sure someone will do it. Why would you need to upgrade the driveshaft or transfer case? Both are already beefier than the Vette's torque tube or Camaro shaft? It's not going to make 1000hp, may make 500whp in a truck.

The 10 speed is slightly longer if I remember correctly. The rear drive shaft would have to be shortened to accommodate it. Transfer case would probably be ok, but need a slightly longer front drive shaft.
