Can the lane departure - beeping and seat shaking stuff be turned off permanently? OR is this something you need to turn off every time you crank the truck?

I like the little warning lights on the side mirrors .. but don't want the truck beeping or shaking ever...

yes you can turn it off, each item, vibe motors, warning sounds, by selecting all of them and off, collision LED's in the dash cannot be shut off. The settings are in the HMI, or radio/nav screen under "settings" -> "Vehicle" -> "collision/detection systems" .keep in mind the parking assit is a button under the HVAC controls, its separate system but can be accessed through the HMI as well.

there is no side lane alert on the trucks, its a SUV option only for the mirrors. collision LEDs are in the dash and reflect on the windshield, same location just like the HUD on the SUV's.

Agree with the above answer. Consider something..... at first I was a little frustrated. Honestly it has made me a better driver. Just a thought.

I turned off the audible

assist and the seat vibe work awesome.!

If it functions, you are screwing up

All that you need to do is use your turn signals.................and stay in your damn lane.....lol

The alert package is a cute little feature. I occasionally let the truck self drive if no one else is with a 1/4 mile or so of me. It is cool to watch the silly thing self steer, it does get a bit angry after a few minutes though and flashes a warning that tells you to take the wheel.

Blind spot monitoring would have been a good feature to have, I would have liked to have that as part of the alert package. Interesting that a 2016 AT would have that, I wonder if it was dealer added item and I can GIT THAT?

My 2017 does not have the blind spot monitoring either, maybe the 2018 or 2019 will have that from the factory. I am always looking for a good reason to upgrade LOL

I had the blind spot alert on my '11 yukon, worked great.

With the tow mirrors you dont need it, no place to hide......lol

Does your truck not come with a button in the lower part of the center console to disable? Mine is never on unless I press the button to turn it on

If you get a Denali, you'll have to change your name. I don't know if it is worth the hassle! All of these warning systems are becoming mainstream on vehicles and probably something we just need to embrace. I remember back in 1976 my next door neighbor complaining about the shoulder straps on her brand new Pinto. I suggested that she get use to them as they are now standard however she took her shears and cut them off! (Not a meant as a comparison but this topic reminded me of this story).

Not a Sierra but my Colorado has the LDW and Forward Collision and they are fully defeatable via the switches.
