Nitto Trail Grappler

I saw this in an older thread:

If you're in the Atlanta area and looking for a set of 295 55 20 Nitto Trail Grapplers, (33's) I have a used set for sale. They have less than 600 miles on them and I want them sold. They're just too heavy and I don't like the MPG I get with them on.

Any 'real world' experience w/ these tires? They are on my list of possibilities for new tires for my truck. I saw a newly installed set on a (cough) Dodge & they tread pattern looked good to me.

Noise isn't a concern for me as I've run mud tires over the years & I have more important things to worry about.

I've read the same thing mentioned in the reviews for this tire. On the bold are people comparing apples to apples or apples to oranges.

Are they comparing the Nittos to a similarly sized tire or some small factory 'donut' that their truck had previously? I could've said the same thing about the 33" BFGs & Gumbo Monster Mudders that I put on my trucks to replace the P235s & other assorted 'base' tires that cme on my truck from the factory.

I'm not planning on going to a larger tire, keeping the factory size so as to not mess up the PCM.
