Has GM said anything in regards to this?

Vehicle stats

2015 Denali 4wd, 6.2 liter, 22 inch factory wheels, 6 foot bed, 26k miles. It's driving me nuts, had wheels balance by three different places to include road force balancing. Is there anything we can do or is it a waiting game on GM to publicly identify this issue?

Doubtful. This site would crash if they ever came out with news of a fix or recall. People would be celebrating and popping bottles.

I have the same truck. In my experience- it's not the wheels. It's the driveline. I've had the wheels and tires balanced a few times. The shake (or vibration) happens at certain rpm at certain speeds. It's always a low rpm rumble that comes thru the steering wheel. Usually at part throttle and cruising speed. (40-55 mph). Not tied to the v8 to v4 switch either. I have to manually shift the truck or run in tow mode full time to avoid. I've told gmc. They said if it didn't "throw a code" they couldn't help me.

Should find another dealer. Some have had motor mounts replaced, torque converter replaced, wheels replaced and on and on. Some times these things work a d some times not. Good dealers will try to find an answer for you. You can research on this forum and find what others have done and what worked and didnt work.

Tires out of round? Force balance?

All that has been checked no issues there. My issue seems to be a highway speeds 70-85. I believe it's some with drive line.

Correct I don't believe it's the wheels either like you I've had that checked many times now. My vibration is at highway speeds. 70-85. I keep asking my dealer but they claim they know of the issue but they don't have a fix.

My dealer wont even look at mine because i have aftermarket wheels and 2/4 lowering kit installed.

Only way they will even touch it is if you return it to stock again. I had a transmission shudder and I only had lowering shackles installed and that was enough for them to not want to look at it.

Likely, the reason GM has not identified a fix for vibration issues is because there may be no common design issue and no common cause or solution for those that do vibrate. Design of the basic vanilla truck may well be fine and without vibration. Throw on many different options like larger wheels, tires, lift, etc. and you change the dynamics of basic design, axle loading, surface contact, etc. and I doubt very much that GM tests every possible option or combination of options/changes and how it effects the vehicle. Likely their only concern with larger wheel options being will it fit the wheel wells and how much to charge rather than test all possible parts and sourcing of tire of the month, spring/shock combinations, driveshaft length, wheelbase, cab weight, etc.. Axles act like levers, only constraints being the bearing locations tolerances and makes little sense to road force balance a tire if the imbalance is at the other end of the shaft. And a vibration anywhere in the drive train feeds back to the frame and ultimately the driver and passengers.

My .02 of advice is - Abandon all hope ye who expect GM to either admit a problem or come up with a fix-all solution.

There is a Tech bulletin out for the shakes. It's on this forum... I don't have it handy. It's like 17 pages. Talks about testing wheels, tires, driveshaft run out, etc. It's a pretty comprehensive document and protocol for the techs. After reading the entire document the result is they don't know why it shakes, it could be multiple items. Go item by item checking them off the list. I'm convinced my 70+ Vibration is the driveshaft or RR axle shaft. Tomorrow I'm checking the driveshaft for spec against the tech bulletin. It's not tires or wheels because it did it with the factory SRA's and now with the KO2's. Always the rear end shaking. I rotate tires per the GM diagram every oil change. And I saw my wheels were under 15 Lbs of road force. I need a local driveshaft balance shop probably.
