Looking to buy GMT900

I know I sound like a shill here, but have you thought of an 11 avalanche LS? Cloth buckets are standard (dash is same as ltz trucks), and I know some came with adj. pedals, and they have slightly better mpg stats with the 5.3 and 6 speed than the trucks. The afm is revised, and you also get a lot of standard features for an LS that even some LT trucks wont have (its what drew me in). The ride is no contest the best of any truck. Drive one if you can find one.

No offense, but no way in hell could I buy an Avalanche... lol

I appreciate the advice, but I definitely gotta go with a full on half-ton truck. An avalanche just isn't for me.

You're buying a 6k pound truck and obsessing about MPG. I don't get it?? Every day driving expect 15 mpg, no matter what you get.

You're right. Haha. But if one offers a potential 3 more mpg on the highway, I'm going to tend to want that for trips... not a deal breaker though. Mainly just need a truck with the options I want and a clean body, well taken care of, that can tow/haul some things.

Yeah, you do sound too cool for one, I just thought since they also came with standard steps you could haul your little ass up in one easier...

I just don't like the styling or even the idea of one. Different strokes for different folks.

I would honestly not buy a gmt900 again. I have had mine sense new and they are sub par at best quality wise. There are better options out there for your dollar.

Mixed reviews.... ahhh!!!!

No but honestly I appreciate everybody's response. Definitely helps hearing from those who have experience.

Always been a Ram guy, but I kinda wanted to try something new..

Not sure if I'd lease... but it is an option I suppose.

Are 2013's any better with AFM than 2007-2012? Or are they all about the same.... ?

NO. If you don't use a Range V8 module or modified PCM tune to turn off AFM early enough in the truck's service life, the lifters, piston rings, intake system, spark plugs, oxygen sensors, and catalytic converter may already be seriously messed up and the truck is out of warranty. I know from experience, because I am still living with the problems daily.

Alright so how are the 6.0's? From what I've always heard, they're pretty stout. But I'm sure mileage will be low.
