Multiple files of the same song

I own a 2016 GMC Sierra Texas Edition. I have a 1 TB hard drive in my center console. I add music to the hard drive, MP3 format, every time I download some from iTunes. I know what is on the hard drive. I have everything categorized and in folders. When I look at the list of songs under an artist, in the truck, some songs are duplicates. I will have 4 of the same song. I know there is only one file on the hard drive. It is aggravating trying to play an artist and hearing the same song play 4 times in a row.

You could always hook it up to your computer and do a 'list by name' and see which songs show up more than once. Or search for a couple of the songs you already know are duplicates, might give you an idea of why they are duplicates.

 

I've used a USB drive a couple times and haven't had duplicates show up.
