Adjustable Drop Hitch Leveled Truck

Im finally considering an adjustable drop. What size drop and brand are you running? I'm 21.5" to the top of the receiver hitch. I like the B&W 7.5" 3 ball, but there will be a ball hanging down lowering ground clearence compared to the Weighsafe interchangeable ball. The Weighsafe 8" from top of shank to bottom of hitch is close to 10.5" from what I can tell. That would give me 10" of ground clearence. I would prefer the 6" which would give me around 12". All I need currently is 4" and 6". My trailer that needed an 8" drop was stolen, so an 8" isn't needed now. With my luck I'll for sure get another trailer that will need the 8", then I would still need to keep my 8" fixed drop around. Decisions, decisions..... any feedback with measurements would be great.

Buy an adjustable hitch and be done with it.

I've been trying for 2 weeks around where I live. Everybody that sell the ones I am considering have been out of stock. Thats why I was looking for feedback before ordering one sight unseen online.

I use a weigh safe and really like it, they sell a interchangeable and a flip ball, but I would make sure and go with a 2.5" shank

I've only read good stuff about the Weighsafe. Plus the interchangeable ball gives you a little more ground clearence. I also assume that it being aluminum and having stainless steel balls it will last and look good for a long time with minimal maintenance. What size drop do you have?

I did the 10", probably could have got away with an 8" have never used the lowest pin.

Damn. Are you lifted?

Just a 2" block in the rear

Right on. That would be the equivalent of an 8" on mine then. Ever drag it when your towing off road?

I have hit it a couple times on steep inclines but generally not.

Correction, I just double checked my order history, I originally ordered a 10", but I guess I returned it for a 8" a few weeks later. My memory failed me, I have had it for a few years now and it still works great!

Didn't have a tape on me, but this is on my newer truck ('17 3500 SRW), same hitch with stock suspension.bac22c0f10c9636a3cbdf0b198fdb67a.jpg

Nice. Looks like a good fit. I like the fact that the Weighsafe 2.5" can go 14.5k. The fastway just uses a sleeve on the 2" and is still only good for 10k. Plus they want an extra 100 bucks for the stainless balls. My local Weighsafe dealer just updated me that they hope to finally get some back in Stock in a week or so. We will see. They weren't sure why they have been on backorder. Thanks for taking the time to take a pic.

They are sold on Amazon and etrailer.com as well.
