The striking workers at the Ingersol, Ontario Canada Equinox plant, called the Cami plant, are voting today on a deal that could put them back to work as early as tonight. The new deal includes percentage raises as well as lump sum payments. CBC also reports that the deal includes provisions to ensure the work does not move to plants with lower-paid workers in Mexico. The deal's increases in pay highlight that long-term, the situation in Canada will only move farther from parity with the costs that GM pays to have its vehicles built in Mexico. Workers left the plant September 17th. The plant builds GM's most popular non-truck vehicle, the all-new 2018 Equinox.
