Hello.

I¨m an "old man" from Norway who own a 1999 Chevrolet Express 2500 with 6,5 TD.
The car is build as a Norwegian Ambulance.

I have some crazy questions.

1. Is the frame the same on this as from 2003 mod and later ?
2. If question 1 is yes - can my 1999 mod be upgraded to a 2003 mod and later front look ?
3. Is the frame the samë on 4x4 ?
4. Will the 6,6 Duramax fit in my 1999 mod ?

Thank You Very Much for answers.

Best regards Magnar

I tried posting this in the Express forum about a week ago, but ahven't gotten any replies so I'm trying again here. I'm adding a 12v outlet to the back of my van and a USB charger to each row of passenger seating, where would be the best place to tap to get power from? Preferably switched with ACC, but I'd take always hot too.

      The upfitter manual says

The only studs I saw under the hood near an electrical center was where a 125A fuse was attached. I tore apart the trim around the b pillar on the driver's side and the only thing there was the seat belt.

Any suggestions would be appreciated, I'd rather not wire this directly to the battery.

      Thanks

I'm trying to wire up the towing harness for my 2014 Chevy Express. It didn't come with the factory tow package.

I've found a wiring harness that has the wiring for the trailer. It is terminated with a Delphi PA6-GB20 GF10 terminal. The problem that I'm having is finding the harness that plugs into this, I'd much rather plug into a factory harness than start splicing into the wiring. No one has been able to help me though. I've been to several auto parts stores, looking online, and a few dealers parts departments trying to find the correct harness. No one has seen or heard of this.

Searching online by this part #, I've found a lot of Delphi connectors, not one of which look the same as this.

Can anyone point me in the right direction? I'm stumped here....

The Chevrolet Colorado and GMC Canyon midsize pickups are selling just as quickly as GM can make them. With a new diesel engine coming online this fall, the company expects demand to “pickup” even further. Currently, Canyon and Colorado have under a 30-day supply at dealerships.

Speaking with GM-Trucks.com yesterday, GM Executive VP of Global Product Development, Mark Reuss explained the company is exploring options to increase capacity at the Wentzville, Missouri plant where the Colorado and Canyon are produced.

Currently, General Motors produces four models from two platforms at the assembly. The Chevy Express and Savana full-size vans are produced side by side next to the mid-size Colorado and Canyon.

Reuss told GM-Trucks.com that moving the fullsize van production to another plant was a top option that the company was considering. Moving production of an entire vehicle sounds expensive but is as “simple” as moving the metal stamping forms to another production facility, explained Reuss. It was unclear how much additional capacity the move would open up but the company sold over 100,000 of the vans last year.

Where would the Express and Savana go? GM isn’t commenting but the Janesville, Wisconsin facility that used to produce the Tahoe, Suburban, & Yukon has been sitting completely idle since 2008 and may be an option.

The company originally expected that 10% of Colorado and Canyon buyers would opt for the 2.8L Duramax Diesel once it hit dealerships. Now, just before the downsized diesel engines hit the road, the company expects to bust past that prediction and is scrambling for more capacity.

Neither representatives from Chevy or GMC would predict the ultimate take rate for the new engine but were excited at its reception so far.
