Hypertech and all other programmers

I've been reading some about computer programmers.  You can change your hp and torque output, change your speedometer for bigger tires, change shiftpoints, and much more.  I have a question though.

 

Since I have a manual tranny, do they make a different programmer that doesn't program shift points?  Or does it just skip that step?

No, when you plug the HPPIII into your data port under the dash it deciphers the VIN# and will automatically recognize whether yours is an auto or stick.

I have an 02 2500HD and use the HPP.  Mine does ask if I have an auto or manual trans.
