No actually you didn’t get a good deal. Happen to be 4x4?

I got my brand new 2017 CCSB for $30k out the door. Mines also an e-assist model with 8 speed tranny. Had 8 miles on it when I bought it.

$32k with brand new wheels and tires. (Methods and KO2 and then I sold stock for $700 cash). Came with soft tonneau cover as well.

Yours has gone through 2 years of depreciation now with 26k miles on it. I would’ve invested in a 17 brand new. Too good of deals on new trucks on the lot compared to used!!

?? did you get a deal on an e-assist model that sat on the lot all year because nobody else wanted it? Those aren't even available outside of CA are they? but 30k for a brand new truck seems too good to be true.

I was also wondering if the OP has 4wd or not. It not a bad price based on what used trucks are going for around here, but it leads to the exact thing that Chevy Roofer said and I found when I bought mine new: Brand new trucks with a full warranty only cost a bit more than a 2 year old truck as you found out. If you compared prices and you are happy, that's all that matters.

I got mine for about the same price. It was a one at this price newspaper ad.

Maybe the op should trying looking through the classifieds.

Yes it's a 4x4. I priced the same model brand new with all of the rebates I qualified for and the cheapest I could get one was $42k. Maybe area has something to do with it but you're not going to find a brand new Silverado 4x4 Crew Cab with these options for 30k around here. I'm in MD by the way. b0f7c0a54bd940b5973677e4e775cf37.jpg

Tungsten metallic?  Looks like the same color as my 16 Ext Cab.

What does credit score have to do with it?
Correct me if I'm wrong but don't you need good credit to go out and buy a new truck off the lot? When I was looking for a truck pre owned I was looking at possibly 8k in just interest on a 5 year loan.

I got a 72 month loan at 2.9% on the used truck. Guess my credit is decent. It isn't just about credit score though. The bank will take the loan to value into account. For instance, when I look up the fair market value of my truck, it says 36k. My loan amount is only 32k.

You got a deal if you love the truck and it makes you happy!! Life is way too short to worry about the little stuff!! If it makes you happy,....yeah you got a good deal!!

Don't get me wrong tho, I understand financials are important with everything in life but you can be happy and still do well financially or you can be miserable and have horrible financials too

You don't have to worry about credit unless you are borrowing money.  Your credit score doesn't matter on buying the truck because you have the option of paying cash (which they seem to hate).

Yikes, 8% seems like robbery!  Mine loan is sitting at 1.74%

I should have just did more research before asking a stupid question. [emoji23]

According to NADA which dealers say is more accurate than KBB, looks like I got the truck at a good price. The trade in value is about what I paid give or take a few hundred. I could possibly go trade this thing in after a year and be ahead or at least break even.

I was assuming he financed since he didn't say he paid cash.

No, you don't. You should already have financing in place if you intend to finance, and the dealer is the last place to look. Also, there is always cash. Ever heard of that?

Most credit unions can do 2.9%.  I financed mine through CU but then paid it off after 1.5yr of loan.
