Hello, I have cut all ties with my beyond horrible dealership already and now noticed they sold it to me without a front plate bracket ( which is a law here in Ohio). I have a the cover but I need a plate so is there a bracket through GMC? None of the holes now line up so assuming there has to be something else that goes there.

If I recall (its been a few years ago) when I got my truck it came with a dealer logo plate installed up front, I removed it and added the filler panel when I got home.  When doing so, I noticed it looked like they had to drill the two holes out for the plate.  There was leftover plastic roughings around the 2 screw areas, so I figured they probably had spots marked for the holes if you needed them, but weren't predrilled from factory.  plate holder seemed like a standard plastic one you could probably get anywhere.

When I bought my '17, I specifically told the dealer that if I saw a dealer emblem on my truck when I came to pick it up, then they could keep the thing. Fortunately, they complied with my wishes.

This guy has your answer.  That center section between the tow hooks.  The plate attaching point is not visible if the cover is in place on there.  If the cover is on yours, you have to remove it (2 or 4 screws from the back side) to expose the plate attaching area.  No "bracket" on a 2014-2015 GMC 1500.

No the cover is off mine and I see the holes however the ones that line up with my plate the screws provided aren't being held by anything. The screws just spin and won't hold the plate

I did the same, fortunately my truck was just delivered from GM and I bought it before they had a chance to bling it with their crap. They wanted to though. When I went to pick it up, the salesman had a hoaky plastic chrome emblem sitting on his desk on top of my paper work. I said, I hope you're not planning to put that thing on my truck, to which it disappeared into his desk drawer.

I know this post is 3 years old but I can't find anything that fits the front of my truck for a license plate. I figured I would give it a shot. Did you ever resolve this?  I've ordered the filler piece, as well as an actual bracket, and nothing lines up or fits to actually hold a license plate on the front of my 2014 sierra SLT. Recently moved to Texas that requires a front plate.

I'm in the same boat with the 2014 GMC Sierra Crew Cab long bed I just inherited from my brother. I had a local independent garage put the tag on the front for me (required in my state) and a few months later I noticed the self tapping screws he used are majorly loose---he just attached to the plastic section underneath the chrome bumper, which I told him to put it there, didn't want to drill in the metal bumper and start rust, but I expected him to use small bolts/nuts. :(

    • Can ask that about a lot of places.   Holiday sells 91 for $1 over 87 octane. BP 93 is 80 cents. Amoco 93 is 80 cents Kwik Trips is $1.20 for 92 or whatever they have and $1 for the 91.   I know that this is not exactly same as what you are saying with the premium to premium debate of those two stations but why is there such a difference. Top Tier this and that, it's all BS. All the fuel comes from the same damn refinery, so give me a break.
    • Why does Mobil Premium cost 90 cents a gallon more than Shell Premium when their regular offerings are but pennies apart?
    • Was all the way down to $3.69 a gallon but then jumped back to $3.99 just because for some reason.   Diesel floats between $4.80's to $5.10ish a gallon. I even saw Diesel #1 for $6.09 today but nobody in there right mind even buys that in the summer.
    • Mine just keeps lagging or getting stuck on the reverse camera. When I turn off the truck, get out, and close the door it will still stay on. It’s very intermittent and I would not be able to duplicate the issue.
    • I was checking out fuel prices at my farm fuel retailer at their pumps and yes the farm price is a bit lower than the non dyed fuel and was glad to see that the regular farm gas price has dropped a lot from what it had been but what blew me away was the price of diesel as the spread now compared to before the prices went up earlier in the year, diesel was actually slightly lower than gas which was a switch from the theme the last number of years. However that sure isn't the theme lately and definitely not right now. The prices I will post are not from that retailer but just looking at gasbuddy for the main city in this area and instead of posting the lowest price someone found I will list the higher price ( and that may not be the highest price, just whatever someone posted on gasbuddy ).   So regular gas and there are a lot of stations listing the same price for regular is 1.68 a liter, premium 2.00 a liter. Diesel 2.03 a liter for a top price I saw on diesel.   Figures out to 6.36 a us gallon Canadian funds for regular and 7.68 for diesel. With the US exchange rate it would be 4.58 us for regular and 5.53 for diesel.    Thought I would figure that out to get a picture of what it settles out like compared to various US prices and its about the same as the current price in Fairbanks AK as Anchorage tends to be lower. So yes, these would be the prices and higher along the way on the Alaska highway where they know they have a captured market !, for fuel prices for those beginning the long drive back to the lower 48   The problem is our Canadian dollar and going to the states that have the high prices, boy do we pay then !
